Data Deletion: HitDM

You can delete your HitDM account and associated data at any time. This page explains how, what we remove, and when. Use this URL when Meta App Review asks for a data deletion instructions link.
Status note: HitDM has not completed Meta App Review. This page is published so the required legal URL exists before review. Instagram features still depend on Meta approval.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — Disconnect Instagram in HitDM Settings
Sign in to https://hitdm.com, open Settings, find Connected accounts, and choose Disconnect on your Instagram account. This removes active Meta access tokens from HitDM and pauses automations for that account.
Option 2 — Remove HitDM from Instagram or Facebook
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → remove HitDM (or the Meta app name shown there)
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Business integrations → remove HitDM
Meta may then send HitDM a signed deauthorize or data-deletion callback. When that endpoint is live, we process it by removing tokens and Instagram-linked automation data for that connection.
Option 3 — Delete your HitDM account
Delete your account from Settings when the control is available, or email hello@hitdm.com from the address on your account with subject Delete my data (or HitDM data deletion). Include your HitDM account email and Instagram username if known.
What gets deleted
- HitDM account profile (email, name, profile)
- Connected Instagram / Page identifiers and encrypted Meta access tokens
- Contacts created by your automations
- Comment and DM event data we stored to run automations
- Automation configurations (triggers, keywords, DM templates, tracked links, lead questions)
- Automation run logs and delivery status
- Captured lead answers stored in HitDM
- Subscription status on our side (payment history remains with Dodo Payments per their policy and tax law)
Timeline

Confirmation
We email confirmation when a full account deletion is complete. If you do not hear back within 7 days of an email request, follow up at hello@hitdm.com.
What we cannot delete
- Messages already delivered to Instagram inboxes (governed by Meta's privacy policy)
- Payment and tax records held by Dodo Payments (governed by Dodo Payments' privacy policy)
- Your Instagram or Facebook account itself
What we store that relates to Meta / Instagram
When you connect Instagram, we may store encrypted Meta access tokens and Instagram / Page identifiers; automation rules and DM templates; Meta event data needed to match comments and send DMs; contacts and lead answers from your automations; and your HitDM login email and billing status (separate from Meta).
